++Half a tank by RADIX Theater

The ARL serves as a base station to Radix' vehicular theater production,"Half a tank", which orchestrated an audience of cars by various means.
A radio transmitter housed in the ARL allowed for communication with each vehicle's driver through their onboard radio receivers.

++Pre/amble a 2 day festival of psychogeography

Pre/amble was presented as part of the "Upgrade" series curated by Kate Armstrong.
AUDIOMOBILE rides were given to the interested public.

Oct 2 to 5 2003

++See-Sound-E-scape: electronics/remix/octophonics/audiomobile

Electro-pioneers Barry Truax (Vancouver) and Alcidez Lanza (Montreal) are joined by their heirs in the research studios and clubs, including New York's Haeyoung Kim, Montreal's Cleo Palacio-Quintin, and players on the local scene.

Events included concerts and workshops for 8-channel diffusion, live electronics, and soundscape, plus a ride in Audiomobile, a GPS controlled audio installation inside Matt Smith and Sandra Wintner's Artist Run Limousine.

++AUDIOMOBILE by the Artist Run Limousine Collective

AUDIOMOBILE is a project for mapping cities with sound-utilizing GPS technology.
This event was presented within Western Front Media's Scrambled_Bites residency project the ARL Collective was part of during september 2003 at Western Front in Vancouver. Matthew Smith and Sandra Wintner gave an artist talk and invited to AUDIOMOBILE rides on both days, from 5-8 pm.

++Weidenhammer Wunderkammer by Lori Weidenhammer

The ARL went on a road trip to Sakatchewan!! Weidenhammer Wunderkammer by Vancouver performance artist Lori Weidenhammer is an oral history exploration of abandoned towns in rural areas.
The ARL was transformed into a travelling museum through the installation of a plexiglass vitrine, the Wunderkammer, which featured items such as gopherlopes and other memorabilia.

An exciting, out of breath 70 mammoth timelapse ROADMOVIE covering the entire trip from Vancouver to N.Y. in thousands of still frames !!

Premiered at the Vancouver Underground Film Festival (VUFF), Vancouver in the ARL.
