The wish to integrate handicapped and older people into society and into work-life and the growing
application of information technology in all fields of life lead to increasing confrontation of handicapped
and older people with keyboars, screens, printers and programs.
To prevent them from being excluded from society again, their specific needs have to be considered
while the new media age is still under development. To guarantee them a maximum of self-reliance their
workstations have to be specially designed. They need to be equipped with ergonomic tables, specially
designed mouse and keyboard and certain specific communiation aids.
