Art

The cultural realm has mirrored the general tendency of more and more incooperating technology. Hence the arts are playing a leading part and scientists are forming interdisciplinary work- groups with artists extending and redefining the ideas of their fields to reach new frontiers. In many cases exactly those pieces of art are of higher quality which are not based on the traditional concepts of art but which are trying to transform the most revolutionary scientific concepts into humane and practical ones thus creating new links between man and technique. Another field of interest are the projects for the networking of artists and institutions. An electronic art subscription or a direct line to the Museum of Modern Art, New York, would be feasible examples.
