Not only the USA are working on the Information-Superhighways of the future. Only a short while ago, the fastest digital data-highway to Moscow, that will transfer digital video-conferences, simultaneous documentary processing and digital information, was opened up at the GMD in Bonn. The Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow is the cooperation partner of the GMD in this project. Through this project, digital video and audio (each with a bandwith of 2.000.000 Bits per second in both directions at the same time) and the widest data-highway (448.000 Bits per second) have become reality. Thus, a new age of multi-media telecooperation between Bonn and Moscow was introduced.
