Telepolis

is an exhibition of the interactive and networked city. Within the framework of Telepolis there will be expert conferences and symposia.

Telepolis is an event of the Goethe-Institute Luxembourg, supported by "Luxembourg Cultural City of Europe `95"

Telepolis was initiated by the Goethe-Institute Luxembourg and found support in "Luxembourg Cultural City of Europe `95". The Exhibition and Conference Center of the Luxembourg International Trade Fair Grounds (FIL) is sponsoring Telepolis by generously providing room, technical support and manpower. The Siemens Cultural Program is cooperating on a financial and organisational level. The Burda-Academy of the 3rd. supports the symposia of Telepolis

The venue is the Exhibition and Conference Center of the Luxembourg International Trade Fair Grounds (FIL)

The Exhibition and Conference Center of the Luxembourg International Trade Fair Grounds (FIL), is located conveniently at the beginning of the highway to Trier, in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. Altogether 6000 m2 are at disposal, of which 1800 m2 are in one single hall. The exhibition halls are equiped to meet the most modern technical demands (telephone, water, translation cabins, etc.). All the necessary additonal infrastructure is installed.

German contribution to "Luxembourg Cultural City of Europe `95"

Telepolis is the most important contribution of Germany to the programme of "Luxembourg Cultural City of Europe `95" and is being financed by the Goethe- Institute from funds provided by the German Department of Foreign Affairs. From a Luxembourg point of view, Telepolis enhances Luxembourg`s position as a location for media-service providers and media developers, therefore the integration in "Luxembourg Cultural City of Europe`95" and the cooperation of Luxembourg companies and public institutions.
