T e l e p o l i s
The Project Managment
Telepolis is being realised by the Medialab Munich. Its
directors Florian Rötzer and Stefan Iglhaut have a long
experience working in the field of media-arts and -theory.
They have already conceptualised and organised successful
predecesor-projects like "Artificial Games" (Munich 1993) and
"Net-Culture" (Munich 1994). Armin Medosch, project manager of
Telepolis, has already held similar positions in different
international projects (Stubnitz Art-Space-Ship). Oliver Schwarz, artist and curator, is also joining the team
Telepolis is being conceptualised and realised as a project
of international cooperation. Partners will be scientific
institutions, art- media- and design- academies as well as
national and international business enterprises.
Exhibition Architecture
The exhibition architecture will be
conceptualised at the
Institut for New Media (FFM) as an interdisciplinary process
between architecture, light, graphic- and technical-conception.
Project manager is Alba d`Urbano, who will also visualise the
concept as a 3D-computer animation.
Light
The media artist Jens Heise is responsible
for the light
arrangements. With projects like "Windfall", Jens Heise has
demonstrated his skills in the field of interactive
arrangements of light installations for wide spaces.
WWW-Editing
The WWW pages are being arranged by the Telepolis project
team in cooperation with the Medialab Munich
and "Philosophical Praxis" Berlin.
"International City e.V." has helped to
initially launch the WWW presence.
Graphic
The Graphic for the Telepolis WWW pages,
as well as for all
the print media is created by Moniteurs, Berlin.
